We have an incredibly strong ethos which makes us different from many other clubs.  Our cycling club was born on the 14th of July 2014. A date that we share with Bastille Day, allez allez!

As members of BS10 Cycling Club it is everyone responsibility to look after the rider behind us and ensure that we are all safe and enjoying our ride. This is something that we are proud of and is embraced by all members.

This was introduced at the birth of the club by our founding member Kevin Dunn after having several negative experiences with other local clubs. We want to be welcoming, fun and safe whilst wearing a nice kit.

Our club kit was designed by our members and is something that we are very proud of.
We are conscious that we don’t want the stigma that some clubs have which is why our ethos must remain strong and true.
We are proud to be  Official Friends of Action Medical Research and have raised over £50,000 and will continue to raise money in the community and take part in our annual London to Paris bike ride.

SOCIAL RIDING

Social rides are hosted weekly, with a route that includes the approximate milage and average speed. This ensures that our members can choose the correct ride for them to maximise their enjoyment.

COMPETITIVE RIDING

We have riders that compete from Cat.4 up to National Elite Level. We also have members that compete at British National and have represented Great Britain at the UCI World Masters Track Cycling Championships.

VIRTUAL RIDING

We embrace cycling technology and as a club we have members that ride for fun, train and race using Zwift. We also have a Zwift Team that ride competitvely online.

PHYSICAL HEALTH

Cycling has many physical health benefits including aerobic conditoning, flexibility, joint mobility, weight management, strength and endurance along with improving respiratory (vo2) and your circulation.

MENTAL HEALTH

Research shows that Indoor and outdoor cycling is ranked close to the top of activities for beating stress, depression, and mental health challenges.

PROLONG YOUR LIFE

There’s a number of studies which suggest that gentle exercise prolongs life – and cycling is a particularly good option as the lack of weight bearing means we can continue into old age.

BS10 Cycling Club is the perfect community to develop your road cycling abilities and to make life-long friends to enjoy social rides with. BS10 CC has opened many doors in the cycling world, and given me numerous opportunities I would otherwise have never been able to participate in. #StartTogetherFinishTogether

BS10 Cycling Club has become like an extension of my family, since 2014 our fraternity has become stronger than any that I’ve experienced in other sports and clubs. I joined bs10 several years ago, new to the area and a complete cycling novice. I’ve had nothing but help and kindness from all members throughout my membership which has helped me to improve my cycling ability as well as my knowledge of routes around Bristol! The diverse range of members and inclusive club ethos makes it a really laid back and enjoyable cycling club to be apart of.
